Mahesh Hayward founded AUM in 2017
He has run the group as weekly and monthly sessions from his home town of Bournemouth, Sunday evenings where chosen as a way to end and start the week fresh.
The background of the group stems from a barbershop where Mahesh spends his working week, and meets untold amount of guys, all with a story. He soon realised that these men had no place to open up, no- one to really listen, and sometimes not really knowing how to let go of stress.
With a background of meditation, yoga, and a spiritual seeker for many years Mahesh knew that men needed a sober, clean, safe space to unfold and open up. All Us Men was born, over the two years we have explored, meditation, breath work, mindfulness, walking, chanting, talking, tea, gong baths and laughter.....
The mindful group All Us Men and popular menswear brand Old Guys Rule are proud to announce their new partnership which will draw attention to and raise funds for men’s physical and mental health charities throughout the UK. The new team are releasing a brand new and exclusive t-shirt promoting “open minds and good vibes” and will be donating all the profits to MIND, Movember, and Prostate Cancer UK.
In times like these one in four of us will experience a mental health problem and hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling. A huge amount of these are men who feel the pressure of being ‘masculine’ is stopping them from seeking help. The rate of male suicide is alarmingly high, being 3 out of 4 suicides in the UK are by men.
The background of the group ‘All Us Men’ stems from 2017 in a barbershop where the founder, Mahesh Hayward, spends his working week and meets an untold number of guys, all with a story. He soon realised that these men had no place to open up, no-one to really listen, and sometimes not really knowing how to let go of stress. Mehesh reached out to Old Guys Rule who agreed to join his endeavour to support the vital charities MIND, Movember, and Prostate Cancer UK and to urge anyone needing help to connect with the charities who can offer immediate help.
We believe no-one should have to face physical or mental health problems alone which is why we are so passionate about spreading the word of these fantastic charities, said Phil Stainer, Director of Old Guys Rule UK. We are proud to collaborate with All Us Men who are champions of mindful awareness and we feel it’s important to learn to listen and talk about how we can help ourselves and others, particularly during dark times.
Together the guys have created the ‘Mind Surfing’ t-shirt which will be available to buy from November 1st 2021 from the Old Guys Rule online store www.oldguysrule.co.uk

Hatha session from a local studio, and Saturday mornings runs a mixed session also.
If you are just wanting to listen, talk and learn to relax then the Sunday evening session is once a month.
Venues can and do change, the beach, garden, halls and yoga studios are used.... The social media side will always keep you up to date.
All Us Men retreats are based around self reflection, mindfulness, yoga, meditation and brotherhood.
The weekend will have a silent space, as well as time to share and discuss ideas and views on a number of interesting topics. Together we will look at how we can fulfil our own needs, and coping with the stresses of a modern lifestyle. Learning how to listen and hold space for others, and also opening up to other men without the the fear of being judged.
The weekend is designed to live as a community, which means to sleep, eat, rest and play at the same time within your comfort level. There is always space to step out and spend time in the quiet areas of the house or walk around the grounds.
Breakfast, lunch and supper are provided along with constant tea, coffee, fruit and snacks.
